First Taste - Shadow Dancer (Sega Master System)

Heylo, everyone! I'm gonna admit right up front that I didn't play this game for very long... Maybe 10 minutes? But I have a good reason! ........It's poopy. :c

I'm pretty sure Shadow Dancer is actually a Genesis game, which would mean this is a port of that... And it definitely shows. The graphics are really ugly, like they're trying to do something the system can't really handle very well, and the music follows suit. It wasn't anything impressive, and was more of an annoyance than anything.

I think the worst part though, was the game itself, and that makes me scared for any other versions as well.. 'Causeit was one of those games with enemies every three or so steps! Not only that, but if you got hit once, you died! It was a real pain in general, and I really didn't want to even try again when I got a game over!

I guess one thing that did surprise me was the vocals in it.. Yeah, it actually had a guy's voice when I did a special move. Not that I could tell what he was saying, though. It was just a garbled mess that barely took the form of vocalizations! Just enough for me to know what it was, if not what was said.

Really though, it was still a bitter experience...
