Heylo everyone! Today we have a new segment here on the
Gameratings! I like to call these 'reviews' "Second Helpings."
Because thing is, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? I've played it before. Not much, but
it's not my first time. So rather than having a "First Taste" of the
game, I'm having a "Second Helping" to see if it still tastes the
same as it did before!
So! As it stands... This game was bitter and horrible and
I'm not even sure what. >.>; When I first tried it I just had no idea at
all what I was doing... I found videos later that kinda seemed to indicate how
to play it right, but even that still seemed kinda wonky and odd, you know? So
I shall take a second helping now...Let's see if it still tastes the same...
And...it actually tastes better than I remember. Maybe I was
just influenced by popular opinion at the time, but given it a proper look on
its own merits...I'm surprised!
The music is actually pretty nice, and the sound effects aren't
as grating as they could be. Even the way the game plays isn't too awfully bad
when you know what you're doing!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a good game by any
means! It's still also boring as heck to walk through with the levels just being
way too long for how slow you move...But I just mean it's not the horrible mess
I thought it was!
So honestly I'd say it's a sour game!
Not nearly as bad as the bitterness I expected, but still
not something I'd really wanna have very often!

Good ol' crappy NES game. I haven't seen or heard of this before, but now I know to watch out for it if I ever come across it!
